Mission

The Digital Media Project (DMP) is a not-for-profit organisation with the mission to "promote continuing successful development, deployment and use of Digital Media that respect the rights of creators and rights holders to exploit their works, the wish of end users to fully enjoy the benefits of Digital Media and the interests of various value-chain players to provide products and services".

Ongoing work

The DMP is currently engaged in the P21-2 project aiming at the development of a digital media platform for the 2nd decade of the 21st century for use by DMP members who contribute to its development. The DMP will hold a P21-2 workshop in Geneva, CH on 2010/07/31 to kick off the project and hold the first P21-2 meeting. Companies/organisations and individuals can join DMP by signing a copy of the DMP Statutes for acceptance and paying the yearly fee of 1,500 CHF. See details on how to join DMP, its Organisation and the list of Members.
